La Semaine Mondiale pour l’Accouchement Respecté (SMAR) est l’occasion d’exprimer un engagement commun à travers une mobilisation internationale en faveur du respect de la naissance. Elle a lieu chaque année, au mois de mai, à l’initiative de l’Alliance Francophone pour l’Accouchement Respecté. L’AFAR est une association loi 1901 créée en mai 2003. N’ayant ni théorie ni dogme à diffuser, elle est indépendante de toute école ou doctrine médicale, religieuse ou politique.

Chaque Semaine mondiale met l’accent sur un thème spécifique. Des objectifs et des idées concrètes d’actions sont proposés. Suivant leurs compétences ou leur désir, des personnes ou des associations travaillent à mettre en valeur les actions à partir du matériel préparé collectivement et mis à disposition sur le site Internet : posters, dossiers, tracts etc. À plus ou moins grande échelle, selon ce que chacun peut investir en temps et énergie, de nombreuses déclinaisons sont possibles : expositions, réunions, conférences…

Initiated by the Alliance Francophone pour l’Accouchement Respecté (AFAR), the World Respecting Childbirth Week is an opportunity to raise international voices on a specific topic related with the promotion of gentle birth. AFAR is a non-profit society founded in May 2003. An autonomous body of citizens, it does not advocate any dogma or theory, and it is entirely free from philosophical, medical, religious and political lines of thinking.

The WRCW takes place every year during the month of May. Depending on the theme, objectives and ideas for action are proposed. Individuals or groups may then work out the concrete steps taking advantage of material that has been collectively prepared and made available on the website: posters, folders, leaflets etc. Depending on people/group’s time and degree of involvement, many things can be organised at a more or less large scale: exhibitions, meetings, conferences...

Die Weltwoche der respektierten Geburt ist eine Möglichkeit, gemeinsames Engagement zu speziellen Themen rund um die natürliche Geburt auf internationaler Ebene auszudrücken. Initiiert wurde die Weltwoche der respektierten Geburt im Mai 2003 von der Alliance Francophone pour l´Accouchement Respecté (AFAR), einer Non-Profit-Organisation, losgelöst von jeglichen Dogmen oder Theorien. AFAR ist philosophisch, medizinisch, religiös und politisch gänzlich ungebunden und unabhängig.

Die Weltwoche der respektierten Geburt findet jedes Jahr im Monat Mai statt und hat immer einen anderen Schwerpunkt. Ziele und Ideen für Aktionen werden vorgeschlagen. Je nach Kompetenz und Wunsch der Einzelpersonen oder Gruppen können dann konkrete Schritte ausgearbeitet werden, indem sie das gemeinsam aufbereitete und auf der Webseite zur Verfügung gestellte Material verwenden: Poster, Folder, Broschüren, etc. Abhängig von der Zeit und des persönlichen Einsatzes des Einzelnen oder der Gruppe können viele Dinge in einem kleinen oder größeren Rahmen organisiert werden: Ausstellungen, Treffen, Konferenzen,…

La SMAR 2009 aura lieu du 11 au 17 mai. Le thème principal sera la césarienne — plus précisément, l’augmentation inquiétante des taux de césariennes dans tous les pays du monde. Merci de nous faire parvenir vos propositions dans diverses langues.

WTCW will take place from 11 to 17 May 2009. This year’s theme will be our shared concern for quickly growing caesarean rates. Please send us proposals in many languages!

El tema prosposito durante el ultimo encontro de la red Europea ENCA fue: La cesariana e la subida de su porcentaje en muchos paìses. Todavia, este problema se ha amplificado en muchas partes del mundo. Es la responsabilidad de cada asociacion de encontrar una manera de presentar este tema durante la semana del parto respectado.

Die Weltwoche der respektierten Geburt wird vom 11. bis 17. Mai 2009 stattfinden. Das Thema 2009 ist der beunruhigende und schnelle Anstieg der Kaiserschnittraten weltweit. Bitte senden Sie Vorschläge in vielen verschiedenen Sprachen! Eine Idee für den Slogan ist WEG VOM KAISERSCHNITT oder Kaiserschnitt – eine NOTwendigkeit?

La SMAR 2008 a eu lieu du 12 au 18 mai. Le thème principal était séparation inutile du nouveau-né avec la mère et/ou le père. Parmi les slogans proposés : « C’est NOTRE bébé ! », « Naître ensemble »…

In 2008, WRCW took place from 12 to 18 May. Its main topic was the unnecessary separation between newborns and mothers and/or fathers. Among the suggested slogans : “Our baby is ours” and “Birthing together”.

2008 hat die Weltwoche der respektierten Geburt von 12-18. Mai stattgefunden. Der Schwerpunkt war die unnötige Trennung von Neugeborenen und Mutter und/oder Vater. Unter den vorgeschlagenen Slogans waren „Unser Baby gehört zu uns“ und „Zusammen gebären“.
